Celebrate International Women’s Day with Aspen Snowmass

To commemorate International Women’s Day on Friday, March 8, Aspen Snowmass is proud to present its second annual Uphill Champagne Lunch. Participants are invited to ascend Buttermilk Mountain to the scenic Cliffhouse restaurant, where they’ll be treated to a celebratory lunch complete with complimentary champagne for guests aged 21 and over.

The Uphill Champagne Lunch welcomes all enthusiasts and will be held at the Cliffhouse on Buttermilk from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 8. The event will feature tunes spun by local DJ Alex Golden, a raffle supporting the non-profit organization Women of Winter, and delightful giveaways from Halfdays, Klean Kanteen, Aspen Hospitality, and other local businesses.

Attendees can hike uphill via one of Buttermilk’s three designated routes; passes are required, and dogs are not allowed. Alternatively, guests who prefer not to hike can take the Summit Express or Tiehack Express chairlifts to the summit.

Ute Mountaineer, situated in downtown Aspen, will offer complimentary uphill rentals on a first-come, first-served basis. Secure your rentals by contacting the store directly.

In the evening, Limelight Aspen will host an Après event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., featuring a complimentary screening of “Advice for Girls,” a ski and snowboard film featuring an all-female cast and crew. Director Sara Robbins and local Aspen Snowmass athlete Sierra Schlag will be present for a Q&A panel following the screening.

Additionally, Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) will sponsor the weekly Friday morning uphill breakfast at the Cliffhouse in honor of International Women’s Day. The breakfast will commence at 8:45 a.m., followed by trivia and giveaways.
