Fjällräven Polar – An Expedition for Those Who Dare

Prepare to embark on a journey that transcends ordinary adventure – the Fjällräven Polar is back for their 19th year, with a fresh set of challenges in April 2024.

This is anything but your typical expedition – it’s a voyage for all that dare! Polar will bring together 20 people from across the globe for a 300km dog sledding expedition across the serene yet relentless Scandinavian Arctic tundra. For five days, Polar participants will drive their own dog sled across vast frozen landscapes, experiencing a world completely different from their own.

They’ll learn essential survival skills, travel over frozen lakes, through dense pine forests, and adapt to life in the Arctic where temperatures can drop to minus 30°C. Proving that everyday people with the right mindset, guidance from experts, and high-quality cold-weather gear could take on the challenge of Fjällräven Polar.

Starting on Monday 30th October 2023, during the global launch event, Fjällräven is inviting curious individuals to apply for this expedition. Those who are ready for the challenge should register and join the Fjällräven Polar 2024 global launch event to receive all the information they need to become a Fjällräven Polar expedition team member.

Once the application phase closes on Sunday 19th November 2023, the Fjällräven jury, made up of Fjällräven Polar alumni, ambassadors and Fjällräven employees, will select the 20 people who will join the 2024 expedition. These 20 winners will be announced on Monday 11th December 2023.
